Why it doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive to get CCTV Cameras in Manchester

CCTV Cameras Manchester– Sourcing a surveillance camera system for your home or business can seem daunting but it doesn’t have to be. Yes there is lots of confusing jargon – low light, night vision, high res, high def, megapixel, tv lines, compression etc. etc. One option would be to study in detail what all these terms mean but who has time for that? Even if you became a CCTV guru you can still get it wrong for instance many cameras state what lux-level (light level) they will work at but this can be at different distances from the camera to the object. So a camera that works to 0.1 of a lux but at 1mtr can be worse tha a camera that works to 4 lux at 10 mtrs! Told you it’s confusing.
Our advice is to forget the jargon and ask for a demo – see what the camera would perform like at your premises in real ime and ideally when it’s dark. All the buzzwords in the world are no replacement for a real live demonstration.
Also best practice is to have a very tight specification that mirrors the standard for police-response CCTV, BS8418. Now you may not want a police response but if your paperwork is produced in that style you as a client will be in a very strong position should you not be happy with the end result.
Our typical specification would show mounting positions and a digital image representing the expected final image. Also the specification would state for every camera where it is mounted, to what it is directed and the expected view description (e.g. The camera will give an image showing ……. on the left to ……….. on the right.)
If you accept the quotation for 2 day night, high-res, low lux cameras – 1 at the front and 1 at the rear then legally your not in a great position.
So get a few quotes, ask about their approvals (like NSI Gold approved for CCTV) ask them if they will give you a live demonstration and ask how detailed the final specification will be.
Finally pricing is obviously important – too cheap and the images will be poor but that doesn’t mean you have to get ripped off. Our systems start from £795+vat for a 1 camera system with remote smartphone-viewing via iPhone or Android.
